Oct 18, 2009, Leann Campas organized the First "Tattoos For Life" fundraiser at Stormi Steel in Kingston, PA to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. The event was more of a success than we could have imagined, and the decision was made to make it an annual event. In the process of doing these events, we encountered countless people who's lives have not just been touched by Breast cancer, but

by many different forms of cancer. Statistical figures done by the American Cancer Society show that an estimated 1.5 million people were diagnosed with some form of cancer in 2010, five hundred thousand in Pennsylvania alone. Cancer is the second leading cause of death. Seeing these figures and hearing from our many clients who's lives have been affected by cancer, we realized that we are missing out on helping so many more people. That is why we decided to include all cancers. As of October 2011, Tattoos for Life had raised over $5500 for the American Cancer Society. Tattoos for Life is now expanding to other states in an effort to raise even more money. The more people who get involved, the more of an impact we will have.

We are now expanding to help additional organizations including the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention!

What We Do

"Tattoos for Life" charity events are one day fundraisers in which a minimum of 50% of the monies generated go to the designated charity.

We have been asked several times over the last 4 years as to why "Tattoos for Life" benefits are one day events rather than spanning a longer period of time. In planning for the first benefit in October of 2009, one of the main concerns was how to do it in a way that it wasn't about business, but all about helping others.

Aside from the obvious goal of generating a substantial donation for the designated charity, there is another purpose even greater than the money.....

A one day event creates an opportunity for a large number of people who have either been affected, or want to support those who have been affected by a disease that destroys millions of lives each year, to come together as one. When you see a large group of strangers forming friendships and support systems right before your eyes, it is truly an amazing feeling. If we had spread it out over the course of a couple weeks or a month, the bonds we see occurring would not be possible.
